  • Condition: Exquisite for it's age. No polished through section, complete with key. There is one small indentation on the handle area, one small chip (1/16th of an inch) to the top of one bottle, barely noticeable.

    Description

    Exquisite English antique Walker & Hall three bottle, cut crystal, decanter set.
    Produced in the late Victorian era, specifically circa 1890.
    Walker & Hall are one of the finest English Silversmiths, there pieces are known for being of the utmost quality and style. It's a testament that the patented "Holdfast" mechanism works exactly as well now, as it did when it was handmade 130 years ago.
    Condition wise, I have never seen one this good in all my years dealing with antiques. The silver has zero rub through, the plate on these is thick, it is not EPNS where the quality is low and the silver is thin. This is a thick plate, even so, after 130 years of polishing, you very often see rub though. This piece has none.
    As I mentioned previously, the mechanism works perfectly, releasing smoothly and going back into locked position with a reassuring click.
    1st Dibs currently has a similar model for sale for approx 00, with quite bad rub through on the front, I'm offering this at significantly less with free shipping from Europe.
