    Description

    This item for sale is a MINT MINT carved 'end of day' bakelite and chrome pin or brooch currently residing on page 91 of Leigh Leshner's book on "Collecting Art Plastic Jewelry 2005" A fabulous book by the way. This pin measures 2.75 inches tall, and is more "mint" than the one in her book. If you collect, this will be a fabulous addition as it is actually published! I also have another celluloid rhinestone and brass pin also featured in her book for sale this week. Please check out our store for other MINT MINT bakelite items.
    I recently purchased the jewelry estate of a woman who passed away in 1976. Her entire apartment was packed up and put into storage by her daughter. She then passed away last year and her daughter sold me her grandmothers jewelry. I should mention the Grandmother was a dealer in vintage items, mostly jewelry and linens. I found quite a bit of bakelite which I will be listing this week literally in a time capsule for nearly 30 years.
