The photos are of actual papers. I will gladly take more photos. The brighter photos are taken in sunlight to show the gold streaks better. However, the blue in the paper is not as bright in ordinary light as the blue in the sunshine pictures. The darker photos were taken when the sun was not shining on the paper.
I also include photos of a binder made using the paper and a photo showing the plain dust case.
Each sheet measures: 19 5/8th" by 25 1/2" or 50cm by 64.5cm
Shipping is FREE.
The papers are not folded in shipment. A few papers can be rolled up into a tube. Larger quantities are shipped in a large flat box.
I have a stack of these marbled papers that is 16" high and estimate that there are at least 1,000 papers. I will do a count if someone offers to buy them all.
These exceptionally beautiful papers are extras from a book I published some years ago. I bought them from a source in France. The paper is of a quality intended for book covers. They have been carefully stored in a smoke-free home, are unused and as good as new.
Paper marbling is a method of aqueous surface design, which can produce patterns similar to marble or other stone, hence the name. The patterns are the result of color (gouache) floated on plain water, and then carefully transferred to a sheet of paper.
Marbled paper, as a decorative material has been used to cover a variety of surfaces for several centuries. It is often employed as a writing surface for calligraphy, and especially book covers and endpapers in bookbinding, restoration and stationery. But it could be used for origami, collage, framing, box covering, tag creation, ACEOs (Art Cards, Editions and Originals), greeting cards, invitations, as a wallpaper and home decor items.
Part of marbled paper's appeal is that every sheet is different, "One Of A Kind", as only one sheet can be made each time. However, it would require a very careful comparison to tell the difference between two papers. They are remarkably similar.
